CSAW Participants Swing into Action!
06/06/2011
Golfers over the age of 60 have been polishing their golf swing at Castlereagh Hills Golf Course after registering on a four week group coaching session with the resident PGA Golf Professional. The course, which was funded by the Castlereagh Safe and Well Project (CSAW), was specifically aimed at golf enthusiasts over the age of 60 who wish to develop their golfing skills and learn more about the sport.

Promoting health and wellbeing in the local community, the Castlereagh Safe and Well Project (CSAW) has worked in partnership with Castlereagh Hills Golf Course to make these coaching sessions possible.
Stephen McElhatton CSAW Outreach Worker commented; “We are delighted with the positive response to these courses and the varying levels of golfers who have participated, especially from those who have never played golf before. What’s more the course provides a fantastic opportunity for people to get together and practise their new skills with 2 months free golf which is offered as part of the project.”
