Ulster Under 19 Girls Inter-club Tournament Returns to Castlereagh Hills Golf Course

This was the sixth year the competition has been held at the course.

A total of 18 clubs participated in the competition with Portstewart Golf Club taking victory in the Ulster North section and Belvoir Park Golf Club winning the Ulster South section. Both teams will now go on to compete in the All-Ireland Final.

Councillor Sharon Lowry, Chair of the Communities and Wellbeing Committee, said, “It’s fantastic to see another junior tournament take place at Castlereagh Hills Golf Course, following the success of the boys event last month.

Today’s competition showcased excellent talent and sportsmanship. Events like this play an important role in developing the next generation of golfers.

I would like to thank Golf Ireland for organising the event and wish both Portstewart Golf Club and Belvoir Park Golf Club every success as they progress to the next stage of the competition.”
